Future Financial Analyst?

Graham has disovered the joy of pulling things off of bookshelves. Of all the fun things to grab though, I can't understand why he went for three of the biggest, most boring finance books from Jeff's days in grad school. Finance is definitely not my thing, and in all honesty, I'm not sure what Graham finds so appealing about these books either. There isn't a single picture in any of the books....just hundreds of pages filled with tiny black and white letters that mean nothing to either of us!
