Today was our day to do some serious shopping and this morning we began our marathon day with my mom. Graham was in need of some new shoes, so our first stop was a children's shoe store. If only I had known sooner, how badly my little guy was in need of new shoes...Last time Graham had his little feet measured, he was wearing a size 4. So, for the past few months that's what he's been wearing. Today though, he measured at a size 6! Needless to say that Graham is the proud owner of several new pairs of size 6 shoes-all of which look very much like "big boy" shoes and no longer like baby shoes.
We stopped at Gymboree where Graham decided that he needed to get out of his stroller ASAP! Luckily, the store caters to children and Graham made himself at home in front of their tv.You can see Graham modeling one of his new pair of shoes in the picture below. Doesn't he look like such a big boy?
Five hours into our shopping extravaganza, we made it to my store...Banana Republic! And, almost as if on cue, Graham fell asleep in his stroller and let me shop! This is the first time in the history of our life together that Graham has slept in a store and allowed me to actually browse! SUCCESS!!!!! It was almost surreal to me that I was pushing around a stroller with my sleeping baby. For such a long time, I would longingly watch young women shopping with their mothers while they tried to entertain a baby. Today, it was my turn to be the lady shopping with her mom and taking care of her baby in the the stroller, and I couldn't have been happier!
